Conflict Fighter Shane Tyner just made a big splash in the MMA and online world although it may have not been the way he wanted. Then again, knowing the warrior Tyner is it probably has become a badge of honor in a both physical and emotional way. The Upstate, South Carolina resident has now become an Internet sensation after footage of the fight on YouTube went viral. The video shows Tyner getting nailed in the ear with a vicious elbow that tore the top portion of Tyner's ear off and sent it flying to the canvas.

The latest and biggest hype in Women’s MMA is the rivalry between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey. The two will touch gloves as the Strikforce main event in Columbus Ohio on March 3. Rousey called out and has challenged Tate for her bantamweight title immediately after her last fight against Julia Budd on November 11th in which she won by first round armbar.

Most MMA fans would agree that the main event of UFC 139 showcased possibly the best fight in MMA History. That night Dan Henderson (29-8) faced off against former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in a fight that was non-stop technical violence. The fight surpassed the legendary fight between Stephen Bonnar and Forrest Griffin in that Hendo and Shogun were veterans practicing their deadly art form to perfection where as Griffin and Bonnar was just a down right slugfest. Since then however we have not heard much from Henderson and many are aware that time is not on the side of the soon to be 42 year old fighter.

Tonight the UFC continued its quest for world and media domination as it hosted its fourth MMA event on the FOX network. UFC on Fuel TV 1: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger showcased an exciting card that might have had its shine dulled due to limited availability of the channel. The Omaha Civic Auditorium housed the event in Omaha, Nebraska and the crowd seemed very pleased with the performance of all the fighters. The co-main event featured Stefan Struve vs. Dave Herman with the main event showcasing the talents of Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger. Let's take a look at how everything played out.

Elite Championship Cage Fighting 20 held in Hickory, NC was hands down the highest stacked amateur card I have yet to bear witness too. The night totaled 10 fights that ranged from bantamweight to middleweight. To top it off, it included 4 heavy hitting title bouts that were all but one sided fights that one would expect at the amateur level. The main event, Conflict’s very own Shane Crenshaw (7-1) fighting for the ECCF Lightweight title. What a night!!!

South Carolina just got put on the MMA map in a big way thanks to Upstate, South Carolina native Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson. UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit was the debut fight for Thompson on the worlds biggest stage in which he made a splash that will be seen on highlight reels for years to come. UFC jitters seemed to play no role in Thompson's UFC debut as he knocked out fellow UFC newcomer Dan Stittgen in 4:13 of the very first round. The head kick that delivered that knockout was awarded the coveted "Knockout of the Night" award.
